National League: Tamworth promoted to face relegated Sutton

Promoted Tamworth will face relegated Sutton United at The Lamb when the 2024-25 National League season gets underway on Saturday 10 August.

The other relegated team from last season in the English Football League Forest Green Rovers resume life in the fifth tier for the first time since 2017 with an away trip to Aldershot.

The other team promoted to the National League North Boston United you leave with a game at home Rochdale.

That’s two out of five games between former EFL teams – approx Halifax host Barnettwith financial problems Southend United Play City of York and last season’s National League South winners Yeovil town entertain Hartlepool United.

The other team promoted to the Southern National League Braintree kicks off with an away trip to another former EFL side Oldham Athletic.

AFC Fylde played last season’s beaten National League play-off finalists and twice beaten at Wembley Solihull Moors.

Altrincham host Woking, Dagenham & Redbridge face an ‘east-west London derby’. WealdstoneFA Trophy winners Gateshead, denied the chance to win promotion due to their home ground, host Ebbsfleet United and Maidenhead United hosts another mid-table team from last season Eastleigh.

After a late Easter, the season will end on a Monday for the first time – May 5, the Spring Festival.
