BOXPARK Liverpool photos sum up every emotion felt by England fans tonight

Thousands of fans descended on BOXPARK Liverpool tonight as England took on the Netherlands in the Euro 2024 semi-final.

Football fanatics headed to the Baltic Triangle venue to cheer on the three lions, who were aiming to make history by reaching the final. Fans wore England kits as well as white and red outfits and some brought St George flags for the occasion.

Everton FC goalkeeper Jordan Pickford started as expected, while Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold was on the bench despite scoring the winning penalty in the quarter-final against Switzerland.

It was a dramatic game, with Xavi Simons scoring for the Netherlands in the seventh minute. Harry Kane then scored a penalty after going down in the box after firing a shot over the bar before feeling contact with the boot of Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries.

Referee Felix Zwayer saw nothing wrong with the challenge, although he was soon referred to the on-field monitor and shortly afterwards pointed to the penalty spot.

BOXPARK showed all of England’s matches on its giant screen, with those buying tickets for the event also able to enjoy food inside the venue. Tonight, Wednesday, Atomic Kitten took to the stage to perform some of their biggest hits, including ‘Whole Again’, which they re-released as ‘Southgate You’re the One’ ahead of the semi-final Euro 2020.
