A woman has been seriously injured near Coton Arches in a VW and Nissan crash when the car overturns

A woman has been seriously injured after her car overturned in a crash at a major intersection in Nuneaton. West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) and Warwickshire Police were called to Coton Road, close to the Coton Arches roundabout earlier this morning (May 13).

A police spokesman confirmed that a Nissan Pulsar and a Volkswagen Up were involved in the collision just before 10am. One of the cars overturned…

A woman inside this car was seriously injured. A woman in the other car also suffered injuries, but they were said not to be as serious.

A WMAS spokesman explained: “We were called to reports of a two-car RTC at the junction of the A444 and Coton Road at 9.54am, two ambulances attended the scene. Upon arrival, we discovered that one of the cars had overturned.

“From that car we treated a woman for potentially serious injuries before she was taken to Coventry and Warwickshire University Hospital. A woman in the second car was treated for injuries not thought to be serious before being taken to George Eliot Hospital.”

Part of the road was blocked for about an hour before it was fully reopened.
