Croydon man stabbed in legs after telling attacker to take legs off London bus seat

A 50-year-old man was stabbed on a bus in Croydon after he told another man to take his legs off the seats. On Tuesday, June 4, at around 3am, the victim was on board the 64 bus when another man got on and sat with his feet on the seats.

The first man, aged in his 50s, confronted the other man and a fight broke out. The attacker stabbed the victim several times in the leg.

The attacker ran off the bus at East Croydon station, while the victim went to hospital, where the police were then called.

The Metropolitan Police are now hunting the attacker and have released an image of a man they want to identify in connection with the incident. The full statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “Detectives investigating a stabbing on board a bus in Croydon have released an image of a man they want to identify and are speaking to.

“Shortly after 3am on Tuesday, June 4, the victim was on board a bus on Route 64 in Croydon when a man got on and sat with his feet on the seats. The victim, a man in his 50s, confronted the suspect and during a brief struggle, he was stabbed several times in the leg.

“The suspect left the bus at East Croydon station. The injured man presented himself at the hospital with stab wounds and the police were called.
