Christmas in Cathedral Square will return to Birmingham for a fourth year

Birmingham’s Christmas in Cathedral Square is returning for a fourth year, it has been announced. The city’s annual Christmas craft market will take place in the grounds of Birmingham Cathedral in the run-up to Christmas.

The dates for this year’s Christmas in Cathedral Square have been announced as Wednesday 13 November and Sunday 22 December. The event is supported by Danter Attractions Limited in partnership with Colmore BID, Birmingham Cathedral and Birmingham City Council.




Christmas visitors to Cathedral Square can visit a wide range of craft, gift and food and drink stalls. There will be music from local artists as well as traditional crafts, ornaments and gifts from a range of independent West Midlands businesses.

There will also be a selection of pop-up food and drink vendors as well as the return of the infamous Pigeon in the Park pub.

Danter Attractions Limited is now accepting applications for any craft, gift, food and drink retailers in the Midlands to apply for stalls. The application window is now open, with the outcome of each application to be determined by the end of June. Traders have the option to request a trading duration of between one and six weeks in the market.

The Cathedral Square Christmas Market runs similar times to Birmingham’s German Christmas Market, which will return to Victoria Square and New Street between 1 November and 24 December.

The Cathedral Square Christmas Market will be open from 11am to 9pm Monday to Wednesday, 11am to 9.30pm Thursday to Saturday and 12pm to 9pm on Sundays.
