Meghan Markle offered ‘$1 million per second’ to return suits

Meghan Markle has been offered a staggering $1million (£798,000) a second to return to her hit role as Rachel Zane in Suits, but it’s not what it seems. This lucrative proposition does not come from the show’s creators, but from the German cosmetics company Biotulin, known for their wrinkle-smoothing products that even the Duchess would love.

Despite the buzz, Meghan has not publicly responded to the proposal, reported by OK! Suits creator Aaron Korsh chose not to invite Meghan back for the series finale out of respect for her new royal commitments, and her appearance in the upcoming spin-off seems unlikely.

However, the prospect of winning $5m (£3.9m) for just five seconds on screen could be tempting. The bold offer was made via a tweet from Biotulin to NBCUniversal in 2020, marking an unprecedented public bid for Meghan to return to the popular legal drama since her departure to join the British royal family, the Express reports.

“Asst. Steve Burke: We’re offering you $5 million again for a 5-second appearance by Meghan Markle with our BIOTULIN Biological Botox Gel on your TV series ‘Suits,’” it said on Twitter. “Please. check our offer with her agent. #biotulin @NBCUnivrsal #Stephenbburker @nbc @nbcnews.”

However, there may be strings attached to the Biotulin offer, as it remains unclear whether Meghan would be expected to endorse the brand beyond the cameo. Meghan Markle is reportedly considering a return to acting, a pantomime role that could mark her transition back to the screen.

However, her return to Hollywood has faced setbacks, with Disney allegedly rejecting her due to her status as a “controversial figure”, according to sources cited by the Daily Mail. Meanwhile, Meghan is currently on a trip to Nigeria with her husband Prince Harry, referring to the country as “my country” after a DNA test revealed she is 43% Nigerian.

“Never in a million years would I understand as much as I do now,” she remarked at an event on women in leadership in Abuja. “And what’s been repeated so much in the last day is, ‘Oh, we’re not that surprised when we found out you’re Nigerian.’ It is a compliment to you because what they define as a Nigerian woman is brave, resilient. , brave, beautiful.”
