“Significant” new information about missing British teenager Jay Slater has been handed to police

Former Met police detective turned private investigator for the family of missing teenager Jay Slater, Mark Williams-Thomas, is said to have received “significant new information” into the teenager’s disappearance.

He passed this information on to both Spanish and British police, despite the latter saying they were not currently investigating the case.

This was revealed in a recent video update on X. In the video, Williams-Thomas stated: “We now know that Jay took certain actions while at the rental because he was clearly concerned for his own safety . This was shortly before he decided to leave.”

“In recent days we have received significant new information which we have shared with both the British and Spanish police. This sheds some light on why he might have left in a hurry and didn’t want to return to the rental, even though his phone was about to break,” reports the Express.

He declined to divulge any further details regarding the information gathered, however, he suggested that Jay is most likely still located in the mountain area and there currently appears to be no indication of third party criminal involvement.

Earlier it was noted that Jay, 19, had told friends he felt nervous about going back to the remote Airbnb where he woke up with two men after leaving the NTG Festival in the early hours of June 17 .

In a recent update, it was noted: “On the morning of June 17th, upon arriving back at the rental, Jay spoke to several different people on his phone and they described him as very awake and still buzzing. I know Jay was on the phone and alone at 8.50am on Monday 17th June, walking on a track just off the main road, about 30 minutes walk from the flat.”

“It was a cold, wet morning, only 18 degrees, with a high that day only reaching 20. The evidence we have been able to collect, including significant new information, strongly argues that it is therefore the most Jay is probably in or around. mountains, we suspect some distance from the phone’s last location.”
