Dog walker assaulted and chased by ‘quad-biker with key’ in Leicester park

A dog walker was assaulted and chased by a man riding a quad and holding a key in a park in Leicester. Leicestershire Police have released a CCTV image of a man officers want to speak to following the attack, which took place in Ellis Meadows, near the National Space Centre.

The force said today that the incident happened on Thursday, June 13, between 1pm and 1.30pm. The victim was walking his dog in the park when he challenged a man riding a quad bike.

The rider then attacked the dog walker before threatening and chasing him with a metal key, police said. The victim “took refuge” in a nearby location before the suspect followed him and threw a chair at him, the force added. The man was then said to have fled on his quad bike.
