Bradford Board of Trade reschedule golf tournament to August 1st

The event, originally planned for July 11, was postponed due to heavy rainfall associated with the remnants of Hurricane Beryl.

The golf must go on.

In an email to participants and sponsors, the Bradford Board of Trade announced that the Open for Business golf tournament has been rescheduled for August 1. The event, originally planned for July 11, was postponed earlier this week due to heavy rains associated with remnants of Hurricane Beryl.

“We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation of our original golf tournament date,” the trade council said in an email sent Thursday afternoon.

The event will continue to be held at Harbor View Golf and Country Club in Innisfil; all forty other details will also remain the same, says the trade council.

“Registration and sponsorship will remain open,” the email said. “If you have already registered and have not provided the emails to your group of forty, please inform them of the new date. We welcome more golfers and sponsors.”

The trade council is also looking for donations of raffle prizes.

The tournament is a shotgun start, played in a scramble format. And the event will include a putting contest, networking breakfast and barbecue lunch.

Donations will be collected for the Bradford Community Fridge.

“This initiative was made possible by Gwillimdale Farms in partnership with the Helping Hand Food Bank and with the support of the BWG Public Library and the City of BWG,” the email said.
