The 2024 edition of Money in the Bank drew over 20,000 rabid WWE fans to Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena last week. It was a wild show and the event broke several records in Canada.

If you thought Philly was loud, our friends up north are giving these crowds a run for their money! The vibe was strong and extremely energetic throughout the night. Canadian fans know how to party.

The biggest news of the night came from John Cena, who surprised the entire WWE Universe by showing up to announce his retirement from professional wrestling in 2025 – following a farewell tour of matches that will culminate at this year’s WrestleMania future.

Another big surprise was the appearance of CM Punk, who is still recovering from an injury. Punk cost his nemesis, Drew McIntyre, the opportunity to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, which he pinned at the top of the ladder earlier in the night. There’s definitely more to come with that feud.
