Police issue major manhunt update after finding more human remains

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shocking discovery of human remains in a west London flat and also in a suitcase on Bristol’s iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge. An urgent appeal for public assistance was launched by Avon and Somerset Police after they found disturbing evidence on the towering bridge, around 250 meters high, on July 11.

Another gruesome discovery at a property on Scotts Road in Shepherd’s Bush reinforced the severity of the investigation on July 12. The Metropolitan Police was given the reigns of the investigation, making the connection between the two gruesome discoveries.

The unfortunate victims are believed to be two men, who have not yet been officially identified but whose names are known to the force. The suspect’s apprehension, carried out by armed officers, was confirmed by the Met on Saturday. They seized him at Temple Meads Station in Bristol in the early hours.

We understand the concerns of the local communities in both Bristol and London and officers will remain in the Clifton and Shepherd’s Bush areas over the coming days to reassure those affected by this tragic incident.
