Baby Royal Enfield 250 could be launched by 2028

Royal Enfield has launched two of its most powerful products, the Interceptor and the Continental GT, in both the Indian and global markets. Since then, the company has expanded in all directions. Both the bikes have achieved good success in the country and in the global market, despite this, the total number of sales has declined since the last few months. Over the past six years, Royal Enfield has seen double-digit sales growth, but sustaining it seems like an uphill task.

Royal Enfield has showcased an 838cc concept mod, thus showing that they will launch bikes with an even bigger capacity engine in the future. But with larger capacity bikes, the price tags on them will also be on the expensive side and this won’t help much in boosting the sales numbers.

Hence, to achieve these volumes, Royal Enfield is considering launching small bikes as well. The Royal Enfield 250 comes with a petrol/ethanol hybrid and plug-in engine. The Royal Enfield 250 is currently under development at the R&D facility located in the country and also in the UK.

In line with this, the 250cc Royal Enfields would help attract a wider market and help in deep market penetration. With the launch of this product, it will become the entry-level bike of the brand and we will have to see if it stays close to the authentic RE experience that the brand always gives.
