Man United suffer UEFA embarrassment but Liverpool fall behind Man City and Real Madrid

Liverpool came fourth in the latest UEFA odds rankings. The Reds competed in the Europa League last season and reached the quarter-finals before losing to Atalanta.

Before that, Liverpool were in the Champions League for six consecutive years. They won the competition in 2019 and reached the final on two more occasions, falling to Real Madrid on both occasions. But UEFA’s coefficient rankings only look at performances over the past four seasons.

And with that in mind, it was decided that Liverpool would take fourth place in this regard, behind third-placed Bayern Munich, second-placed Real Madrid and leaders Manchester City. The Reds are ahead of Serie A side Roma, Paris Saint-Germain, Villarreal, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Inter Milan who make up the top 10.
