With England set to face Spain in the Euro 2024 final on Sunday, venues across the West Midlands are gearing up to host supporters.

A variety of events have been ordered onto the big screens so fans don’t miss out on the action.

Spain and England meet in Berlin on Sunday at 8pm BST, with live coverage on BBC iPlayer and BBC One from 7pm, as well as the BBC Sport website and app.

Himley Hall, which hosts the Musicom event as part of the Black Country Festival, has brought in a big screen.

“We are so excited to see our local hero Jude (Bellingham) and the England team play in the final on Sunday,” said Dudley Council leader Patrick Harley.

With the 45 square meter screen, everyone at the event will be able to “get behind our boys for this historic match”, he added.

Live events venue hmv Empire Coventry, which is showing the game on cinema screens, sold out on Thursday.

But there were no plans to show the final on a big screen in Coventry city centre, with the city council citing safety concerns.

“Such is the interest in watching the game, demand is likely to exceed any capacity we could provide in the city centre,” the council said, adding that the England team has the support of Coventry.

Birmingham City Council have no plans to broadcast the game either, but the Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul Festival in the city’s Moseley Park has ordered in a lorry display.

The match coincides with the closing headliner of the festival, Kool & The Gang, with the organizers of the event pointing out that one of their most famous hits is called Celebration.
