Brennan has no plans to leave the bees, despite the Swindon Link

The Bees confirmed at the weekend that they had received an approach to talk to Irish League Two side Swindon Town.

But Brennan, who guided the club to second place before the Londoners fell short in the play-offs, remains “fully committed” to his club.

Barnet says he has already started planning to go one better next season and will stay at the Hive.

“Following recent speculation in the media, Barnet FC would like to inform supporters regarding Dean Brennan and the position of manager at Swindon Town FC,” they announced.

“Earlier this week, Barnet FC made Dean Brennan aware that they had received an approach from Swindon Town asking permission to speak to him.

“Dean would like to reassure supporters that he remains fully committed to achieving Barnet FC’s goal of promotion to the EFL and a significant amount of work has already taken place to improve the squad for the new campaign.

“Dean and the club continue to look forward to the season ahead.”
