“I saw Sean Paul at the CBS Arena in Coventry and he brought the energy”

A huge party from the moment he took to the stage, Sean Paul certainly brought the energy when he performed in Coventry. Fans flocked to CBS Arena on Tuesday (July 9).

Songs from throughout the years filled the CBS Arena from 7pm as excited fans arrived, eagerly awaiting Jamaican icon Sean Paul. He was going to take the stage at 21.00.




DJ Mista Bibs kicked off the night with a mix of hits that helped energize the crowd! He was followed by M Dot R with a special appearance from Married at First Sight star Terence Edwards.

The fans were full of energy, singing and dancing to the tunes played by the DJ, but as the evening wore on, the mood soured. Calling out to the crowd, the MC repeatedly asked, “Are you ready for Sean Paul?”

It looked like the crowd of 6,500 was ready for Sean, but maybe he wasn’t ready for them, because every time that question was asked, there was still no sign of him, causing people to notice stir. Screams of excitement turned to murmurs of disappointment, and when the Grammy Award-winning singer finally took the stage, he was late, appearing around 9:30 p.m.

As the lights dimmed, the frustrated faces in the crowd seemed to disappear as Sean exited backstage, launching into an energetic performance of So good. He then took his legion of fans back to the early 2000s with hits Does it ever burn and To be busy.

– Hands up if you came to the party! the 51-year-old shouted to the energetic crowd. Judging by the singing, dancing and twirling, it seemed like everyone was doing just that!
