Wild scenes in Yorkshire for Euro final as hundreds of fans weigh in on England

England’s Euro 96 meeting with Spain was their last at a major tournament, but there have been more recent meetings.

Gareth Southgate has been responsible for three of those meetings, with mixed results.

The first came just weeks into Southgate’s reign, Spain coming from 2-0 down to snatch a late friendly draw.

La Furia Roja won their next fixture, a Nations League match at Wembley, with Saul and Rodrigo in goal in a 2-1 victory.

Most recently, however, England won 3-2 in Sevilla in October 2018. Two goals from Raheem Sterling and one from Marcus Rashford gave the visitors a 3-0 lead, with Paco Alcacer and Sergio Ramos reducing the deficit , but not doing enough.
