The Euros are over and now the focus is firmly back on the world of club football.

The players will leave Germany and their international commitments to have more freedom to discuss their futures with new and old clubs. The Premier League season is a month away and pre-season preparations are already underway.

The Reds are yet to add to their squad for new boss Arne Slot, but appear to be interested in strengthening their defence. This will be an area to watch in the coming weeks.

Mirror Football takes a look at the biggest transfer stories surrounding the club at the moment below.

Ongoing negotiations for the defender

Liverpool are in talks with Crystal Palace for Marc Guehi. The Eagles star enjoyed an impressive Euro 2024 campaign and has long attracted interest from the Premier League.

The Reds appear to be first in line to make a move for the Chelsea academy product, with reports claiming things should now pick up after the Euros.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano said: “Marc Guehi has been linked with Liverpool. I can tell you that Liverpool have been scouting the player for a long time. He is a player they like, for sure.
