Happy Monday, Birmingham! From coffee shops to day spas, all kinds of new businesses are popping up in the Magic City.

Read on for a rundown of three new openings and a sneak peek at some spots coming soon.

1. Frida’s Cocina & Cantina | English village

Frida’s Cocina & Cantina is a new upscale Tex-Mex restaurant celebrating its grand opening on May 13th. Located in the former Civitas location at the corner of Cahaba Road and Fairway Drive, Frida’s offers a variety of Mexican-inspired dishes such as fajitas, enchiladas, carnitas. and ceviche.

2. Tap Different BBQ & Grill | Pelham

This new BBQ spot in Pelham just…hits different! Hit Different BBQ & Grill, a family-owned restaurant and food truck operation, specializes in Southern comfort food, melt-in-your-mouth meats and all things prepared.

Serving up classics like pulled pork, smoked gouda and rich cheese, be sure to stop by the new storefront on Pelham Parkway and give it a try.

3. Mockingbird Day Spa | Trussville

Need some rest and relaxation? Look no further than Trussville’s newest hot spot, Mockingbird Day Spa. In addition to spa rituals such as massages and facials, Mockingbird also offers beauty services such as spray tanning, waxing and eyebrow tinting.

4. Bandido coffee | Five points

A new coffee shop is coming to Five Points. Located in the former Panache location, Bandido Coffee is the latest venture from local entrepreneur Raul Chavez. Chavez is the founder and owner of Fade Parlor, a barbershop brand with three locations in Birmingham.

His newest project, Bandido Coffee, will be a more modern and unique coffee bar that will bring a bar twist to the local coffee shop scene. It also plans to offer coffee drinks inspired by Latin culture.

5. J. Crew factory | Cahaba village

A new retail store, J. Crew Factory is coming soon to Cahaba Village next to Mountain High Outfitters. Unlike a regular J. Crew store, the J. Crew Factory is an outlet where you can find lower-priced styles for men, women and children.

6. Pet Haven | Fultondale
