Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Price Expectations

The launch of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is just two days away and this would probably be the company’s biggest launch of 2024. While we know almost everything about this bike, from the styling to the performance figures, there is one thing that we don’t. we still know it – prices.

In this story, we give you a fair idea of how Royal Enfield plans to price the Guerrilla 450. But first you need to know the direct rival of this bike – the Triumph Speed 400. This British motorcycle has similar modern retro styling. , performance numbers and also the same product recall. However, Royal Enfield may have the upper hand when it comes to after-sales experiences like apparel and accessories along with activities that define the global ‘lifestyle’.

The Guerrilla 450 is built around the Himalayan 450 platform, but omits some of the expensive components like Showa USD forks and expensive CEAT tires. There are still a few things that would have been dropped to keep costs under control. Now, the reason behind keeping costs under control is that the Guerrilla 450 is an urban bike that aims to appeal to a wider audience base. So the sales volume is expected to be higher and the price to be lower.

We believe that the Guerrilla 450 will have a starting price of around Rs 2.3 lakh (ex-showroom) and from the leaked images, it is clear that the bike will be sold in two variants, with the top variant sporting a TFT screen. Instead, the other variant will get the cluster that is seen on Meteor. The Himalaya has a starting price of Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom). A gap of around Rs 50,000 makes sense between these two bikes, but there will be at least three more 450cc bikes to be launched in the future.

Triumph recently slashed the price of the Speed 400 by Rs 10,000 and that brought the ex-showroom price down to Rs 2.24 lakh. Bajaj definitely has an inkling of where Royal Enfield will price the Guerrilla 450 and has decided to get as many sales as possible before its launch.
