Coventry City are looking to get their career back on track after completing a transfer

Bradley Stretton, a development player released from Coventry City, is looking forward to getting his career back on track after signing for non-league side Oxford City.

The 19-year-old striker was let go by the Sky Blues this summer after 12 years at his boyhood club, coming through the Academy to the first-team fringe after playing in Mark’s pre-season program Robins last summer.




Oxford City FC said today they are “delighted to announce the signing” of the versatile attacking midfielder who has impressed throughout a trial period at Court Place Farm, scoring four goals so far in pre-season, notably a hat-trick against of Kings Langley. .

He now links up with Sam Cox’s side ahead of the 24/25 season and will wear the number 11 shirt.

Speaking on the club’s website after signing his contract, Stretton said: “It’s great to finally get it done now. I am very excited. It’s a new start and I’m looking forward to getting my career back on track and doing my job.”

Manager Sam Cox said: “I was very impressed with Brad. He’s someone we’ve been aware of, he’s a fantastic young talent and he was in and around Coventry’s first team last season.
