Aldi shopper earns more than £850 in just over an hour – but doesn’t work there

Many people take on extra jobs to afford the finer things in life, but for those who don’t, it might seem like too much of a hassle.

However, one man proved that earning a little more money doesn’t have to be difficult. He went into Aldi and ended up making a tidy sum. So how did he do it?

A TikTok user called @aftermarketarbitrage shared how he manages to earn over £850 in an hour “from Aldi” without being on their payroll. He claimed he “knew” he could make a fortune from label makers doing special shopping at the supermarket. “They cost £15 each and on Amazon they sell for… well, I’ll tell you at the end,” he explained.

He admitted that he “filled his basket to the brim with them”, buying 24 units. He then went into another shop and managed to catch several label makers.

He purchased “another 28 units,” joking about the puzzled looks on people’s faces when they saw what they were buying. He mentioned that he could have visited more stores but decided to head home and start making money.

He said he had them wrapped and labeled “ready for UPS to collect in the morning.” On Amazon, the label maker sells for £37, meaning there is a profit of £16 per unit. “And that figure is after Amazon’s taxes,” he added. “We got 52 in total, making a profit of £859,” he boasted, but he had to pay £4 for Amazon FBA delivery – which in the grand scheme of things isn’t bad at all. He made a profit of £855 “for 70 minutes of work”.

However, not everyone was impressed. One critic commented: “It’s only profit when it’s in the bank and you spend it. Otherwise it’s called ‘stock’ and if Aldi sells them your 60 units will take a while to sell.”

In response, he pointed out that all of these were “already sold”. When another user questioned the sales timeline, he replied that it took “about 4-5 days.”
