Andy’s Man Club Wigan is celebrating a year of support in the borough

Wigan Warriors and Wigan Athletic are proud to celebrate the Wigan group anniversary of ANDY’S MAN CLUB, located at the Brick Community Stadium.

It’s been a successful first year of mental health support, with thousands of Wiganers across the Borough able to come together at the city’s biggest sports venue.

Andy’s Man Club, a men’s suicide prevention charity, offers free peer-to-peer support groups across the UK and online, including a Wigan group based at The Brick Community Stadium.

The group’s goal is to remove the stigma surrounding mental health and create a confidential, non-judgmental space where men can be open about the storms in their lives.

Since hosting their first support session on Monday, July 17, 2023, an incredible 2,825 men have come through their doors. Due to the growth of the group, there are now 22 men who are trained facilitators – volunteers who lead the sessions – which has increased from five at the first session.

Sessions take place every Monday evening from 7pm to 9pm in the Family Zone at The Brick Community Stadium.
