Leicester City Women add former Spurs defender Asmita Ale

Leicester City have brought Asmita Ale back from Spurs on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell last season.

The 22-year-old, who has been capped by England at international youth U-17, U-18 and U-19 levels, has signed a three-year deal.

She has played over 30 times for Tottenham and before that made 50 appearances for Aston Villa.

Speaking to LCFC.com, Ale said: “I am very pleased to stay at the club and it was an easy decision for me. There are so many opportunities to continue to grow here and playing time is important at my age.

“I’m already looking forward to next season. I can’t wait to get back with the team and show the fans what I can do. The club is constantly growing, we have great ambition and I want to be part of that journey.”
