With 10 games to go, Super League action is fast approaching on the horizon and there is still plenty to play for. Just six points separate the top six in Super League at present and they will continue to battle for position until the end of the regular campaign.

The play-off places are far from decided, however, with Leeds Rhinos, backed by new manager Brad Arthur, just four points off the pace. The race for the Man of Steel award is just as close, with Marc Sneyd and Matt Dufty tied on 18 points for the lead.

Of course, there is still a long way to go in the season, but using the Man of Steel rankings, we have created a Super League team of the season so far.

1. Matt Dufty (Warrington Wolves)

MOS Points: 18

Dufty has been a menace for Sam Burgess’ side this season, getting over the line on 13 occasions and laying on a further 15 tries. He also made 19 clean breaks, just two less than leader Liam Marshall.

2. Ash Handley (Leeds Rhinos)

MOS points: 8

Handley scored 12 tries for the Rhinos in what was another strong individual campaign.

3. Nene MacDonald (Salford Red Devils)

MOS points: 15

The center has landed seven times this season to help Paul Rowley’s side into the play-offs.

4. Tim Lafai (Salford Red Devils)

MOS points: 7

Lafai’s season tally stands at six tackles and four assists, but he’s right up there for tackles, recording 118 in total.

5. Liam Marshall (Wigan Warriors)

MOS points: 8

Super League’s current top scorer, the Wigan man has 17 efforts under his belt, while also making 21 clean breaks in what has been an outstanding season for the winger.

6. Mikey Lewis (Hull KR)

MOS Points: 14

Lewis has been one of the most dangerous players in the league this year and the stats prove it, with 16 assists and eight tries in a Robins shirt.

7. Marc Sneyd (Salford Red Devils)

MOS Points: 18

Arriving at the top of the pile with Dufty, the 33-year-old looks set to age like fine wine at Salford in Super League. He has 18 assists, more than any other player, and his hand and jersey shots have been near flawless this season.

8. Patrick Mago (Wigan Warriors)

MOS points: 6

Props don’t often get Man of Steel points, but Mago has six this season with two tries in the club’s first three games.

9. Daryl Clark/Jez Litten (St Helens/Hull KR)

MOS Points: 8

Clark and Litten have both racked up eight points this season, meaning they share the role of prostitute in this side at the moment. Clark has six assists and five tries to his name, and while Litten hasn’t been as dangerous close to the line, he’s managed to rack up more tackles, false-half runs, goals and tackles.

10. Herman Ese’ese (Hull FC)

MOS points: 5

Hull have struggled for positivity this season, but Ese’ese’s form has been a shining light at the MKM Stadium.

11. Kelepi Tangina (Hull KR)

MOS Points: 9

Mistakes were rife, but Tanginoa made up for them with a string of strong performances in the Rovers pack.

12. Junior Nsemba (Wigan Warriors)

MOS Points: 8

The 20-year-old has burst onto the scene at the Brick Community Stadium for the past two years and has three tries this season from the back row.

13. Ben Garcia (Catalans Dragons)

MOS Points: 7

The Frenchman has also been a picture of consistency this season and his performances have seen him collect plenty of Man of Steel points.
