“We are pleased to welcome Ross Steinborn to the Beverly Police Department as our new Domestic Violence Advocate,” said Beverly Police Chief John LeLacheur. “Steinborn’s experience, passion for advocacy and dedication to the community make him an invaluable addition to our team. We look forward to working together to support survivors and prevent domestic violence in Beverly.”

The position reflects Beverly Police’s commitment to addressing domestic violence in the community since it was established in 2002. Steinborn will provide support to individuals at risk of or affected by domestic violence: including crisis intervention, legal advocacy and support to those in need .

She has a decade of experience in sexual and domestic violence prevention and intervention. Prior to joining the Beverly Police Department, Steinborn worked as a victim witness advocate in the Essex County District Attorney’s Office and, prior to that, as director of the YWCA North Shore Rape Crisis Center.

She has experience advocating for the well-being of survivors of domestic violence and navigating the legal processes involved in bringing them justice.

Steinborn holds a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School and lives in Beverly with his wife and three young children. His role is effective immediately.
