Leeds United and Leicester City will miss the midfielder

Leeds United and Leicester City look unlikely to sign a midfielder they have targeted this summer due to his domestic status, according to Sky Sports News.

Both Daniel Farke’s Leeds and Steve Cooper’s Leicester want to boost their midfield options and are both keen on Tottenham Hotspur’s Oliver Skipp.

He is an attractive target but is unlikely to leave Tottenham in this summer’s transfer window.

Skipp counts as a homegrown player that Tottenham need for their Europa League campaign.

Spurs need four homegrown players in their Europa League squad and Skipp fits the bill.

Skipp struggled for regular game time under Ange Postecoglou last season and is said to be open to a move.

Leeds and Leicester could suit the midfielder as he could play more regularly.

However, Spurs are unlikely to sanction a move and it remains to be seen whether their position will unexpectedly change later this summer.
