Jurgen Klopp shares Liverpool’s changing mindset as final farewell approaches

Jurgen Klopp insists he is only reflecting on the positives from Liverpool this season after their last away game ended in a 3-3 draw at Aston Villa.

The Reds ran out 3-1 winners at Villa Park before two late goals from substitute Jhon Duran forced a draw to leave Klopp’s side seven points clear of current Premier League leaders Arsenal ahead of the final weekend, where they host Wolves at Anfield.

After a summer of transition, particularly in midfield, Liverpool maintained a realistic title challenge until the end of April and lifted the Carabao Cup after a memorable performance from a damaged side against Chelsea at the end of February. And as the Liverpool boss continues into his final week as manager after almost nine years at the helm, Klopp says he is looking at things with the glass half full.

“I’m only allowed to see the good parts of the season,” Klopp said. “If you continue, then you have to think about what went wrong and make changes and adjustments. But obviously it’s not me.
