West Yorkshire Police reported that the disturbance began at around 5pm after a disturbance “involving workers and children”. As the crowd grew, the decision was made to evacuate these individuals to a safer location.

“A crowd started to gather and more officers were requested to go to the area where there were some bags of disorder. More officers were deployed to the area to help deal with this incident. Also some road closures and people are advised to avoid the area at this time,” police said.
