The Met Office reveals the exact day when sunny weather will finally arrive in Bristol

Weather forecasters have predicted when sunny weather will arrive in Bristol. April was a rather gloomy month with frequent rains and low temperatures.

According to the Met Office, the start of this week will be similar in Bristol as conditions remain mostly cloudy. Temperatures are set to top 14C today, before rain hits the city tomorrow afternoon and evening (Tuesday, April 30).

Cloudy weather will remain on Wednesday, with the mercury reaching 16C before further rain on Thursday (May 2). There will also be sunny spells as temperatures climb towards 20C.

But by the weekend, Bristol is set for highs of 18C with some sunny conditions. Forecasters expect Sunday (May 5) to be the brightest day, with sunny spells expected throughout the morning.

Today: Scattered showers in Devon and Cornwall, with more general rain during this morning, continuing into this afternoon. Eastern parts of the region become cloudier but remain mostly dry. Strong winds from the south and strong wind on the southern coasts. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

This evening: Stay similar overnight with some rain moving east into Somerset and Dorset and heavier rain developing later in Cornwall. Stay quite windy in the west. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Tuesday: Outbreaks of rain edging east through sunnier skies for the day and isolated showers following towards Cornwall. The wind is slowing and it feels a little warmer. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Wednesday to Friday Outlook: Becoming drier as we move into May, but some rain is possible. I feel warmer than recently with the sun. Temperatures often somewhat above average, but sometimes windy.
