North Cornwall MP calls for “immediate” action to tackle sewage spill

In his letter, Mr Maguire sets out a number of demands including: an immediate implementation of new reforms with a clear timetable, a halt to all sewage discharge activities to protect public health and the environment, rapid upgrades to South West Water’s infrastructure to handle peak loads. and to prevent future sewer overflows and a review and possible suspension of any bill increases until service improvements are evident.
