Bradford Bulls make signings for Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves

Bradford Bulls are in the race for second place in the Championship and to help that drive they have entered the loan market to sign a Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves striker.

Eamon O’Carroll’s side have been very active in the loan and transfer market so far this season, especially when it came to scouting players from Super League outfits.

At the start of the season they loaned Liam Tindall from Hull FC, the outside back played for them in 2023 when they recorded a double with Leeds Rhinos.

Tindall was joined by FC’s Jayden Okunbor and then Franklin Pele, both of whom left Hull FC and signed permanently for Bradford Bulls. Both Pele and Tindall have been named in the Bulls’ 21-man squad for Sunday’s clash with the York Knights.

Pele’s bulk in the pack will be added to today’s confirmed signings of Harvey Makin from Wigan Warriors and former Bradford Bulls man Dan Okoro from Warrington Wolves, both of whom have been brought into the squad immediately.

“Dan is joined by Wigan Warriors’ powerful front-row striker Harvey Makin, who has also arrived at Bartercard Odsal on a short-term loan.”

Okoro is a former Bradford Bulls player, his impressive form earned him a move to Warrington Wolves who have now loaned him back to the Odsal club.

Speaking on his return, Eamon O’Carroll explained: “We’re delighted to have Dan back, he’s a highly valued member of our group and we know all too well what he can bring to the party in terms of his energy and intensity. .

“I’m delighted to see how Dan has progressed after a few months ago under Sam Burgess at Warrington in an elite full-time environment.”

Of Makin, who has spent time on loan at both Barrow Raiders and London Broncos so far this season, O’Carroll explained that the club have been “monitoring” him for some time.

He said: “Harvey is a player I have been monitoring for some time so I am delighted to bring him to the club at a crucial stage of the season.

“He has great experience at this level with Barrow Raiders, but his time in London in the Super League has also helped his development, so I’m delighted to be working with him.”

Both men have been named in Bradford Bulls’ 21-man squad to face their in-form York Knights, with Bradford knowing a win will help them keep the pressure on both Toulouse Olympique and Sheffield Eagles.
