Arsenal and Liverpool face problems in separate transfer pursuits – Crystal Palace refusing to budge on valuations of Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi.

The duo starred as Palace secured a top-flight finish in the Premier League last season, with both being called up to England’s Euro 2024 squad. While Eze has been limited to substitute appearances, Guehi has become a key man in defense.

The 24-year-old became John Stones’ main partner at centre-back, helping the Three Lions reach the tournament final. While England ultimately fell short, Palace duo Guehi and Eze have attracted serious interest thanks to their performances this summer.

Defender Guehi has become a target for both Liverpool and Arsenal, while the Gunners are also eyeing a move for Eze. But Palace are making life difficult for both Premier League giants.

According to The Guardian, Palace will demand £70m for both Guehi and Eze. This despite the fact that the defender only has two years left on his contract, with Liverpool prepared to end their interest.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are yet to pursue their interest in Eze as Palace have made their demands clear over a fee. Earlier this week, the Gunners also abandoned plans to make a move for Guehi.

Palace’s demands for a £70m fee are believed to be the reason Mikel Arteta has moved on to other targets. The 20 per cent sell-on clause Chelsea inserted when they sold Guehi to Palace in 2021 is understood to be fueling the Eagles’ high demands.

Guehi’s stock has certainly never been higher as he comes off the back of a successful tour with England. His Three Lions center partner John Stones certainly holds him in high esteem.
