Kieffer Moore completes permanent move from Cherries to Sheffield Utd

KIEFFER Moore has completed a permanent move from the Cherries to Sheffield United.

The forward, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Ipswich Town, helping them to promotion, has joined the Blades until 2027.

Moore, who joined the Cherries from Cardiff City for a reported £3.5m in January 2022, is moving to Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee.

After suffering a broken leg on debut, Moore returned to action with devastating effect towards the end of the 2021-22 season under Scott Parker.

The big striker came off the bench to score twice as Cherries fought back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with Swansea City.

Moore, formerly of Dorchester Town, then scored the famous promotion goal at the Vitality Stadium against Nottingham Forest in May 2022.

The Wales international continued his hot streak into the following season, heading home on the opening day of the Premier League campaign in a win over Aston Villa.

But Moore eventually found playing time hard to come by and departs after making 46 appearances, scoring 10 goals.

The 31-year-old looked set to join Hull City last week, only for a late switch to instead see him link up with Chris Wilder’s recently relegated Premier League Blades.

On his way out, Cherries said: “Everyone at AFC Bournemouth wishes Kieffer well for the future.”
