Premier League leaders race to sign Leeds United star amid transfer links between Liverpool and PSG

Speculation surrounding Crysencio Summerville’s future has dominated the agenda at Elland Road this summer. The talismanic Dutch striker has been linked with a number of clubs including Liverpool and Chelsea.

The time may be right for the Leeds United full-back to move up to the Premier League, with Brighton tipped at 2/1 odds to secure his signature according to Betfair. Liverpool are also said to be interested in the Dutchman as they look to rebuild under Arne Slot following the departure of Jurgen Klopp – Betfair offer 10/3 odds on a move to Liverpool. It also offers 7/2 odds on a potential move to PSG, who continue to chase a coveted UEFA Champions League triumph after reaching the semi-finals of last year’s competition.

Brighton’s player development model would suit Summerville best, with him more likely to command a starting spot in the Seagulls side. He could compete for a place on the left flank with Simon Adingra, Solly March, Jeremy Sarmiento and Kauru Mitoma.

A move to Ligue 1 would almost guarantee trees and Champions League football, but regular first-team football would be hard to come by, with Bradley Barcola impressing in the last quarter. However, the Parisians are light in this area and will be looking to recruit this summer.

Summerville moved to West Yorkshire four years ago. He progressed through their youth ranks before breaking into the first team formed in the 2021/22 season. Summerville, 22, has already represented the Netherlands on eight occasions, scoring twice.
