The lottery supporting Leicestershire community groups is about to begin

The rest will go to a North West Leicestershire Community Fund, prize money, running costs and VAT.

Almost 40 good causes have been approved to benefit from the lottery, including scout groups, town halls and community libraries in the district.

Councilor Michael Wyatt said: “This is a great way for local groups to earn extra cash; we’re still looking for good reasons to sign up for the lottery and it’s not too late to sign up.

“It’s a fantastic way for people to support a good cause of their choice, while also having the chance to win up to £25,000.”
