AI gives a stunning Manchester City title race verdict with a huge prediction for Man United

The final ranking of Manchester City and Manchester United in the Premier League next season has been predicted by an AI supercomputer.

Both United and City are currently in the early stages of pre-season training as they prepare for the new campaign. Erik ten Hag and Pep Guardiola will be busy assessing their respective squads in an effort to have successful seasons next season.

The summer transfer window is in full swing and has been largely quiet for both clubs so far. City are yet to make any new additions to their squad, while United confirmed striker Joshua Zirkzee as their first signing of the summer on Sunday.

With the new Premier League season just weeks away, a supercomputer attempted to predict the final result. Grosvenor Sport has provided a supercomputer which has outlined what it thinks the final top flight will look like.

According to the prediction, City will be crowned Premier League champions again for what will be a fifth consecutive season. The supercomputer reckons City will finish with 94 points, eight ahead of runners-up Arsenal.

United are tipped to finish fourth on 71 points, which would be 23 behind City in the table. Liverpool are predicted to finish ahead of the Reds in third place.

With the prediction, United would return to the Champions League after a campaign in the Europa League. However, it would still see the Reds finish well short of becoming league champions again.

City are set to begin their Premier League title defense away to Chelsea on Sunday 18 August. United will be at Old Trafford for their first game of the campaign against Fulham on Friday night, August 16.
