Liverpool transfer news as $28m Premier League ace ‘wanted’ and young talent could be released

Liverpool have just one game left this season and therefore only one left Jürgen Klopp at the helm. After the 3-3 draw with Aston Villa, only the game at Anfield against Wolves remains before the summer.

And with Arne Slot set to take over from Klopp, it could be a busy spell. There have already been several appointments made behind the scenes, with Michael Edwards returning to work for FSG. And on the transfer front, there might be a few things to watch out for.

First, a new center back needs to be found, as Jarell Quansah has done this season. Liverpool need more depth in that area with Joël Matip was preparing to leave with a clear road and Ibrahima Konaté has struggled at times with frustrating setbacks due to injuries.

Mateusz Musiałowski (Liverpool)

Young Liverpool winger Mateusz Musiałowski will be released at the end of his contract this summer, according to This Is Anfield. The 20-year-old Pole made a senior appearance for the Reds when he came off the bench against Sparta Prague in the last 16 of the Europa League on March 7 this year.

Liverpool.com says: Musiałowski will be best remembered for the goal he scored against Newcastle United U18s in 2021 after a mazy dribble that saw him beat several men. But due to injury and lack of consistency, he has struggled to get going since then and a move elsewhere seems to be the best thing for his career.
