Former Leeds boss Marsch announces appointment in Canada

Former Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch has found his next job.

The American is set to take charge of a bitter rival in his homeland’s national team.

Marsch is the head coach of Canada’s national team as he hopes to lead them to glory in the coming years.

In a statement, Marsch said: “It is an absolute honor to represent and lead the Canadian men’s national team in our preparation for a World Cup at home.

“The combination of Canada Soccer’s new leadership with the potential of this dynamic group of players has inspired me and I am ready and eager to take on this massive responsibility.

“My excitement and anticipation to get started is immense. One of my main goals will be to help the soccer community in Canada to support our efforts to be successful on and off the field. All In for 2026!”
