Auto launches this week: Audi Q5 Bold Edition, Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 and more

We’re into another week with some exciting releases in the automotive world. The automotive industry has recently witnessed a slew of new launches in India, with top brands introducing their latest models. From the Audi Q5 Bold Edition to the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, here’s a look at the latest additions to the auto industry this week.

Audi Q5 Bold Edition

Audi has launched the Q5 Bold Edition in India, priced at INR 72.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The Bold Edition will be available in limited units in a total of five color options, including Glacier White, Navarra Blue, Mythos Black, District Green and Manhattan Gray.

It is powered by a 2.0L TFSI engine that produces 265 PS and 370 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h. The vehicle is equipped with Quattro all-wheel drive, which ensures optimal grip on difficult terrain. It offers a panoramic sunroof and parking assistance with a 360-degree camera.

Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo

Hyundai has launched the Hyundai Exter CNG in the country at a starting price of INR 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Exter Hy-CNG Duo comes with dual cylinder technology. In addition to Exter Hy-CNG Duo, Exter Hy-CNG (single cylinder) will also be available on the market.

The SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It offers an ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 27.1 km/kg. The CNG system fitted by the company includes an integrated electronic control unit (ECU), which ensures a smooth transition from petrol to CNG and vice versa. In CNG mode, the engine produces 69 PS and 95.2 Nm of torque.

GLC 43 Coupe and CLE Cabriolet

Mercedes-Benz India has announced two new vehicles in the Indian market. The GLC 43 Coupe and CLE Cabriolet variants will be launched on August 8. The GLC 43 Coupe is the performance-oriented variant of the GLC, while the CLE Cabriolet is being offered in India for the first time.

The CLE Cabriolet incorporates features from both the C-Class and E-Class, including a shark-nose effect with strong hood bulges and a folding fabric roof. Inside, it has a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 2+2 seating configuration.

The AMG GLC 43 Coupe was revealed globally in 2023. The SUV is powered by a downsized 2.0-liter turbo-petrol 4-cylinder engine with mild hybrid capability. Both the cars are expected to be priced above INR 1 crore (ex-showroom).

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450

Royal Enfield has launched its new Guerrilla 450 motorcycle in India. The new model is priced at INR 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom) and promises to be the perfect blend of the Himalayan and Hunter models. It is the second model from Royal Enfield to be built on the Sherpa platform.

The Guerrilla 450 is available in two color options—Brava Blue and Yellow Ribbon—in three variants: Flash, Dash and Analog. It has the same round headlight design as the Himalayan, with split indicators for a distinctive look and feel. While the rear lacks a traditional taillight, it does feature reflectors that retain the model’s signature styling.

2024 Suzuki Avenis 125

Suzuki Motorcycle has launched Suzuki Avenis 2024 in the Indian market with a starting price of INR 92,000. Suzuki Avenis 125 2024 is available in four eye-catching color combinations: Glossy Sparkle Black / Pearl Mira Red, Champion Yellow No 2 / Glossy Sparkle Black, Glossy Sparkle Black and Glossy Sparkle Black / Pearl Glacier White.

The new scooter is powered by a 124.3 cc aluminum engine with a maximum power of 8.7 HP and 10 Nm. The Avenis has a seat height of 780mm and uses a 12-inch front rim and a 10-inch rear rim. The braking system consists of a disc in the front and a drum brake setup in the rear.
