Kick-off times are set for Northern Colorado football’s eight-game Big Sky Conference schedule this fall including a home game against Football Championship Subdivision runner-up Montana in late October.

UNC’s 12-game season begins Saturday, Aug. 31 at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. The Bears’ first home game is 2 pm Saturday, Sept. 14 against Abilene Christian.

UNC is scheduled for five home games at Nottingham Field, including four in the Big Sky and seven away games. The team plays three of its first four games on the road. The regular season ends a week later than last year — Saturday, Nov. 23 at Portland State.

The Bears’ non-conference schedule also includes a Saturday, Sept. 7 games at Colorado State University. The game is scheduled to begin at 5 pm

CSU and UNC are playing for the first time since 2016, and they’re scheduled to play again Sept. 13, 2025 in Fort Collins.

UNC opens its Big Sky schedule Saturday, Sept. 28 with a homecoming game against Cal Poly. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 pm

UNC hosts Montana at 1 pm Oct. 26. The date is kids day, the Halloween game and Latinx Heritage day. Montana beat UNC 40-0 last year in Missoula, and it was the only time the Bears were shut out in an 0-11 season.
