Woman stabbed to death in isolated Crowlas home

A woman has been found stabbed to death by police in an isolated house near Penzance.

Devon and Cornwall Police have launched a homicide investigation following the suspicious death of the 40-year-old woman at her home in Crowlas.

Firearms and local officers and paramedics found the woman dead at the scene with stab wounds at 7am.

Police are still trying to notify the dead woman’s family before she can be formally identified.

A 22-year-old man from the Penzance area has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody at this time.

Police remain at the scene and inquiries are ongoing.
