Manchester United receive huge Jarrad Branthwaite update as Leny Yoro impresses

Manchester United won their friendly game against Scottish Premiership side Rangers at Murrayfield on Saturday afternoon.

Amad and Joe Hugill sealed the 2-0 victory for United and Erik ten Hag would have been encouraged by the improvement following a 1-0 loss against Rosenborg earlier in the week. New signing Leny Yoro was in action for the first time in front of supporters after sealing a £59 million move from Lille this week.

The teenager produced a classy first-half performance and was awarded a seven for his display, while Mason Mount and Jadon Sancho also looked bright.

Everton issue Jarrad Branthwaite message

The Athletic report that Everton have informed United, they have no intention to sanction Jarrad Branthwaite’s exit this summer, despite their proposed takeover by the Friedkin Group (TFG) collapsing.

The deal, which collapsed on Friday, plunged the Premier League side back into a precarious financial situation. There has been speculation over whether Everton would need to sell their prized assets.

However, the Toffees are said to view this as changing nothing in regard to Branthwaite.
