Tragedy as man dies six days after electric scooter crash in Leeds

A man has died six days after an electric scooter crash in Leeds as police appeal for witnesses to come forward.

West Yorkshire Police have named 44-year-old Kevin Bishop as the crash victim following his tragic death today. Mr Bishop suffered serious injuries in the crash at the junction of Harehills Avenue and Harehills Lane in Leeds at 6.05pm on July 7.

Today he died from his injuries, prompting the force’s Major Collision Investigation Team (MCET) to make an appeal. In a statement, a force spokesman said: “Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses following the death of a man involved in a collision with an electric scooter in Leeds.

“The Major Collision Investigation and Investigation Team (MCET) would like to speak to anyone with information about a collision at the junction of Harehills Avenue and Harehills Lane on July 7 which unfortunately resulted in the death of Kevin Bishop.

“Mr Bishop (pictured) died earlier today from injuries sustained in the collision which occurred at around 6.05pm on July 7.”
