Borussia Dortmund target Jadon Sancho makes Manchester United comeback after comeback

Jadon Sancho made his first appearance for Manchester United on Saturday when he featured in their pre-season friendly against Rangers.

It’s no secret that Borussia Dortmund wanted to sign Jadon Sancho permanently this summer. But their hopes of a permanent move for the England striker have been dashed by Manchester United’s high price tag. Now, it seems a stay at Old Trafford could be the most likely outcome for Sancho after a spectacular comeback.

Eleven months on from his last appearance for Manchester United, Sancho played for the English Premier League side on Saturday when he started in their friendly against Rangers.

The 24-year-old was suspended from the first team by manager Erik ten Hag last season and ended up moving to Borussia Dortmund on loan in January. At the time, Sancho said that returning to Borussia Dortmund was like “coming home”.

There was little hope that Sancho and the ten Hag would settle their differences, with several reports claiming that the forward would leave Manchester United for good this summer. But it seems they have now reconciled, and ten Hag has opened up about their discussions to clear the air.

“I spoke well. Anyone can make mistakes. If the player reflects well on it, then you draw a line and move on again. This club needs good players and one thing is for sure: Jadon is a terribly good player. I hope that the click is still coming and that he will contribute to our success,” ten Hag told AD Sportwereld.

However, Borussia Dortmund had to be pulled out of a move for Jadon Sancho, and it looks like he will now get a fresh start at Manchester United. During his second spell with the Black and Yellows, Sancho recorded three goals and three assists in 21 appearances.
