Vehicle seized in Bradford after young driver took car without mum’s consent

A VOLKSWAGEN Golf has been seized after a young driver who was pulled over by police allegedly took a car without his mother’s consent.

The car was stopped on Northcote Road in Undercliffe after officers from the Steerside Enforcement Team saw the driver not wearing a seat belt.

A spokesman for the Steerside Enforcement Team said: “We stopped this Volkswagen Golf on Northcote Rd as the driver was not wearing a seat belt.

“It was found that the driver was 15 years old and had taken his mother’s car without consent.

“He was dealt with for all the offenses disclosed and the vehicle impounded.”

Officers at the wheel also stopped another Volkswagen vehicle on Great Horton Road.

A Steerside spokesman said: “This Volkswagen Touran was stopped for a caution offense on Great Horton Road.

“The driver was quick to admit he had no valid license or insurance and now faces a day in court.”
