EXCLUSIVE: Production-ready Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 picture leaked; ready to launch

– A new patent image for the Scrambler 650 has been leaked

– Based on Interceptor 650

– Probable release in 2024 Motoverse

It’s been a few days since the new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 was launched. Now, we have an exclusive look at the manufacturer’s next launch – a Scrambler based on the Interceptor 650. This bike is currently rumored to be called the Bear 650.

In this picture, the bike looks almost similar to the Interceptor 650, but there are some bike parts that give this bike a scrambler look. First, the handlebars are different, and this one has a brace. The traditional telescopic forks have been replaced with upside-down (USD) forks, making it the first 650cc bike in the platform to have this suspension setup. One of the Interceptor’s USPs was the dual exhaust setup, but this scrambler will get a single exhaust – to keep weight down and keep costs under control, and also to make it look like a proper scrambler.

The collection pipe also receives a metal protection. To give a proper scrambler feel, side number plates are installed on each side. The bike will be equipped with a circular instrument cluster, but it is not yet known if it will have the TFT configuration. From the earlier spy photos, it is clear that the Scrambler 650 will get dual purpose tires and these are likely to be made by CEAT.

Powering the motorcycle will be the same 648cc parallel twin engine that produces 47PS and 52Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and the company is likely to change the gear ratio to suit the nature of the bike.

Royal Enfield is likely to launch this bike – the Scrambler 650 – with a rumored name of Bear 650 at Motoverse 2024. As for the price, the bike is likely to be priced around Rs 3.4 lakh (ex-showroom), which which will position it between the Continental GT 650 and the Shotgun 650.
