The Coventry Group completes three peaks for charity

A TEAM of 15 from Gi Group has successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge for the second year running, raising funds for Dementia UK and Well Child.

This year’s team, which included entrants from Gi Group’s Little Park Street branch in Coventry, trebled the previous year and raised an impressive £6,800 for their chosen charities.

Based on the success of last year’s trip, the team decided to return to the mountain with even greater enthusiasm and participation.

The Three Peaks Challenge involves a 30 mile hike across the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales.

Despite facing severe weather conditions on the climb up Ben Nevis, the team persevered and completed the challenge with determination and team spirit.

Andrew Fletcher, Southern Operations Manager at Gi Group, said: “I’m so proud of the team for once again taking on this challenge to support some fantastic causes.

“After the success of last year’s trip we were eager to return to the mountain and it’s great to see more Gi Group people involved this time around.”

The charity provides practical and emotional support, helping children leave hospital faster and live healthier lives at home. Last year, Well Child supported 2,700 families through its programs.

Last year the company raised £20,000 for 14 different charities.
