Hummel’s Coventry City kit teased as Championship rivals unveil ‘beautiful’ design.

Coventry City fans continue to eagerly await news of the club’s new kits for their 2024/25 Championship campaign.

Sky Blues supporters are desperate to get their eyes on the latest designs and then splash the cash to get replica shirts on their backs ahead of the club’s pre-season friendly schedule. The club claims the players will have the new strips on their backs by the time they play their first warm-up match.

City’s kit suppliers Hummel have produced some hugely popular strips over the past few years and we’re all looking forward to seeing what they come up with this year. Will it be another retro nod to the brilliant kits of the past or something completely new and modern for fans to sample?

One thing’s for sure, City’s new home shirt is ‘beautiful’ – that’s according to Hummel’s official X social media account. The Danish kit company teased fans this week when they posted a message about Sunderland’s new strip, saying: “While trying to create appropriate levels of hype for the new @SunderlandAFC home shirt (unfurled on Friday), I’m here to I tell you it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.”

One Coventry fan responded to this, asking: “Prettier than the Coventry shirt?” To which Hummel replied, “Is it a cop out to say they’re equally beautiful? I’ll let you be the judge when they’re released!”

Looking at the montage of images below, can City fans take any cues from the Black Cats design? City have had streaks before, including last season, so will it happen again? But we’re more likely to take a cue from the neck and sleeves, the latter showing the iconic hummel chevrons that run from the neck and up the arm.
