Domino’s could be coming to Coulby Newham as signage plans submitted to Middlesbrough Council

Takeaway chain Domino’s Pizza could be coming to Coulby Newham.

The pizza chain’s logo will go up at the shopfront under plans submitted to Middlesbrough Council. Planning officers are considering the proposal for unit two at Hamsterley Way, Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough.

Applicant David Johnson from “Coulby Newham DP Ltd”, of Wynyard Business Park, has applied for planning permission for the illuminated fascia signs. The new takeaway would go near the Tanning Shop, as shown in plans by Retail Ignition Store Design on the council’s planning portal.

The plans were submitted to the council on July 9 and the application is currently under assessment with a planning officer.

The Tanning Shop opened at the former Halfords site, off Dalby Way near the Parkway Centre, in 2022. The motoring and cycling retailer closed its doors in February 2021.

The store is located close to Coulby Newham Fish Bar, Pets At Home, McDonald’s and B&M.
